For one of the most renowned biopharmaceutical companies with high investments on R&D, we are currently looking for an experienced and motivated professional as a laboratory head to explore the field of drug metabolism using state-of-the-art mass spectrometry (MS) technology. This position allows you to lead a lab, work closely with an enthusiastic team, and contribute to advancing key drug development projects. IHRE AUFGABEN

  • Lead the laboratory's efforts in investigating in vivo and in vitro metabolism of new drug candidates. 
  • Analyze and elucidate the chemical structures of small molecule metabolites.
  • Organize the relevant projects and lead the lab team, developing the team members' skills technicalls and functionally. 
  • Collaborate with international and multidisciplinary teams to discuss and present research findings.
  • Integrate findings into the drug development process, influencing the future of potential drug candidates.
  • Write and review according reports with scientific accuracy.

IHR PROFIL

  • An academic degree in chemistry or a related field within the biomedical sciences (PhD preferred).
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative analysis of biological samples using advanced LC-MS/MS systems.
  • Solid knowledge of chemical structures and experience designing MS experiments to analyze metabolites of various compounds.
  • Experience in both in vivo and in vitro metabolism with a focus on in vivo
  • Strong organizational skills, a cooperative work style, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); German skills are an asset.
