INTRO

Our client is an international high-tech company specializing in the development and manufacturing of advanced production technologies for semiconductor and other precision manufacturing applications. Operating in a global environment, the company serves customers with innovative, high-quality solutions and combines engineering excellence with a strong customer focus.

The German site is a key manufacturing and engineering location within the group.

The company is currently entering an important transition phase and is looking for an experienced interim leader to guide the organisation through this period while preparing the site for its next stage of development.

TASKS

Project:

The objective of this engagement is to provide transformation consulting services to support an ongoing organisational transition at a production site.

The scope of services includes conducting an initial assessment of the current operational setup, identifying optimisation opportunities and supporting the implementation of agreed transformation measures within the project timeline.

The assignment further includes providing strategic and operational consulting during a confidential management transition, ensuring business continuity and supporting organisational stability until the transition has been completed.

Services are expected to include stakeholder coordination, facilitation of change initiatives, identification of operational risks, and the development and execution of recommendations aimed at improving organisational effectiveness and operational performance.

Project Scope

The objective of this assignment is to provide independent consulting and implementation support for an operational transformation programme at a manufacturing site. The services focus on improving operational performance, supporting organisational change and ensuring business continuity throughout the project duration.

Scope of Services

The service provider will deliver consulting services including, but not limited to:

  • Assessment of the site's operational setup and identification of optimisation opportunities across manufacturing, engineering and supporting business functions.
  • Development and implementation support for measures to improve operational performance, productivity and delivery reliability.
  • Analysis and optimisation of production processes through Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Evaluation of existing business controlling and budgeting processes, including recommendations to improve transparency and management reporting.
  • Facilitation of cross-functional collaboration by supporting alignment between relevant business functions and key stakeholders.
  • Provision of advisory services to support organisational change, governance structures and decision-making processes.
  • Support in identifying operational risks and developing appropriate mitigation measures to ensure business continuity during the transformation programme.
  • Preparation of recommendations and implementation roadmaps to strengthen organisational effectiveness and sustainable operational performance.
  • Facilitation of communication and coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders where required for successful project delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Expertise

Experience in semiconductor equipment or a comparable high-tech manufacturing environment is beneficial but not mandatory. More important is proven experience in delivering transformation and operational improvement projects within complex manufacturing environments.

The service provider should demonstrate expertise in:

  • Manufacturing transformation and organisational change projects
  • Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • Production performance optimisation and business process improvement
  • Business controlling, budgeting and performance management
  • Stakeholder management in complex project environments
  • Strong analytical skills with a pragmatic, implementation-focused approach
  • Business fluent German and English
