An established organization is expanding its Global Direct Sourcing team with a newly-created role.

Operating on a global level, collaborating cross-functionally, and engaging in strategic decision-making to secure sustainable and competitive pupply and product quality, the Associate Global Category Head plays a pivotal role in a versatile mission. 

IHRE AUFGABEN

• Lead the development and implementation of category strategies within assigned global sub-categories, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Drive innovation and competitiveness by staying informed about market trends and potential innovations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize external spend and drive process innovation.
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal business partners to analyze and optimize internal demand.
• Monitor supplier relationships within assigned sub-categories, ensuring compliance with governance and KPIs.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the team in supplier relationship management and performance improvement.
• Lead sourcing projects within the Global Category or across various Sourcing Areas.

 

IHR PROFIL

• Master’s degree or Diploma in a relevant field such as business administration, with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical research and development processes.
• Extensive experience in category management and leading international teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the global API & C(D)MO market for pharmaceutical products, coupled with expertise in stakeholder and risk management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 15% of working time, and fluency in English.
